INCIDENT: Outstanding Arrest Warrants
OFFICER: Detective Erik Johnson CONTACT#: 802-257-7950
DATE/TIME: On going
VIOLATION: Arrest Warrants
ACCUSED: Multiple
In an effort to apprehend and/or locate outstanding arrest warrants on over one hundred and seventy individuals who committed crimes in the Town of Brattleboro, the Brattleboro Police Department has increased their efforts by using a multitude of online social networks. For years the Brattleboro Police Department has been posting subjects, who have arrest warrants, to their webpage: “brattleboropolice.org/Wantedmain.htm.” Although this method has assisted in locating some of these subjects its reach was limited to people who visited the site. By using social network sites we hope to expand our reach to the rest of the world and increase the search engine ranking regarding these wanted individuals. This will hopefully increase the chances of someone recognizing their name and/or photo and assist us in locating their whereabouts. The following social network sites currently hold names and photos of subjects who are wanted by the Brattleboro Police Department.
Facebook, Picasa, Myspace, Photobucket, Flickr, Twitter
One of the goals to this project is to clear up outstanding warrants through voluntary compliance. If someone finds they have an arrest warrant from our Department we recommend you turn yourself in at either the Brattleboro Police Department or the Windham Count Superior Court in Brattleboro, VT.
These social networks and our webpage will be updated on monthly bases; because of this each warrant needs to be confirmed through your local/state police department. If you come across any of these individuals please contact the Brattleboro Police Department at (802) 257-7950 TTY (802) 257-4424. If you are aware of any of these individuals having a profile on any social network we would be interested in that information as well. If you wish to stay anonymous you can call the Brattleboro Police Department's tip line at (802) 251-8188 or e-mail the Brattleboro Police Department at bpd@sover.net.
