Kidnapping – Sexual Assault

On December 03, 2011 Investigators from the NY State Police notified the Brattleboro Police Department regarding a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred in the Town of Brattleboro.
The initial report indicated a female was held against her will and repeatedly sexually assaulted at a local residence in Brattleboro. Through investigative means, probable cause was developed and an arrest warrant was issued for David E. Piquette (age 44) of Brattleboro.
Piquette was subsequently arrested in Brattleboro without incident on today’s date (12/07/11) at approximately 16:15 hours.
Piquette has been charged with Kidnapping – Sexual Assault or Fear, Aggravated Repeated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault-no consent, and Domestic Assault.
Piquette is currently being held at the Brattleboro Police Department without bail pending his arraignment tomorrow at Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division.
As this is an active investigation, no further information will be disseminated.
