Anthony Amaru was issued a citation for Unlawful Mischief, and ordered to appear in court on 11/29/11.

Fugitive From Justice

DATE: October 19, 2011
On October 19, 2011 a local resident was arrested on a Fugitive From Justice Warrant. Detectives from the Brattleboro Police Department assisted members of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department from Eureka California in locating Robert L. Lee, age 26, of Brattleboro.
Lee was wanted for questioning regarding his involvement in a homicide and robbery case Humboldt County was investigating that occurred in September of 2008 where he was living at the time.
Based on information Lee provided and through other investigative means, probable cause was developed to issue an arrest warrant charging him with the offenses of Murder and Robbery. The arrest warrant was issued from the State of California. Lee was arrested on today’s date, 10/19/11 without incident and brought back to the BPD for processing.
Lee is currently being held at the BPD lock-up on $1,000,000.00 bail pending his arraignment on 10/20/11.

Child Abuse

On August 17, 2011 the Brattleboro Police Department initiated an investigation after receiving a report of suspected child abuse.
Through a collaborative investigation conducted by the Brattleboro Police Department, Windham County SIU, and the Department for Children and Families, Natasha Holden, age 36 of Brattleboro, was arrested on October 19, 2011 and charged with 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault, and Cruelty to a Child under 10 by One over 16.
Holden was arraigned on these charges at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on October 20, 2011 and released on conditions.

UPDATE ON BRATTLEBORO SHOOTING
The investigation into the shooting of 27 September 2011 continues.
The shooting did not take place in or on the property of the Shell Station; rather it occurred on US Route9 Marlboro Road inside of a moving vehicle.
The female victim of the shooting has been identified as a 53 year old Brattleboro resident who wishes that her name not be released at this time. No information on her medical condition or injuries are being released.
The male involved in the incident has been identified as 44 year old Robert Nantell also of Brattleboro.
The weapon involved has been seized by investigators and case details are being sent to the Windham County States’ Attorney Officer for review.

Incident:At 13:15 Hours, offices from the Brattleboro Police Department assisted by members of the Vermont State Police responded to Marlboro Road for a 911 call of a person with a gunshot wound.
Arriving officers contacted the 44 year old operator of a vehicle and detained the male. Located inside the truck, was a 52 year old female with a gunshot wound to her right leg. Once the scene was secure, Emergency responders from Brattleboro Fire and Rescue Inc entered the area and rendered emergency medical care to the woman. Rescue transported the victim to be transferred via helicopter to Bay State Medical Center for follow-up medical care.
Investigation is in the initial stages and ongoing and no names are being released at this time.
Recovered at the scene was a shotgun.
The investigation into the shooting of 27 September 2011 continues.
